I think it would be great if we could clone system apps (ex: gmail, youtube, and mabey even things like messages) so we can have dual account sign-in locations that aren't in the same app.

You can also do this with an app called "shelter" and an app called "Batapps", both available on the google play store.

At the moment you can use app com.oasifeng.island to create second profile on android controlled by this app. This profile is like a sandbox. It has separated internal storage and app data (dual accounts). For file sharing between two islands you can use nextapp.fx patched by Lucky Patcher.
